Designing a new logo for a yoga startup company
The challenge
Caroline, a talented and dedicated yoga and meditation teacher, sought a logo to help her promote her brand new yoga and meditation classes. She had been teaching part-time for many years but had chosen to take the leap and go full time. Based on the picturesque Eel Pie Island in Twickenham, with stunning views that overlook the river Thames, her classes emanate tranquillity.
Our approach
With both yoga and meditation classes to consider, we felt using an iconic silhouette of someone in a yoga pose didn't quite fit the brief. Instead, the inspiration for the logo design came from a photograph Caroline shared of the morning sun rising over the river Thames in Twickenham. We wanted something to give a visual representation that mirrored the peaceful energy and tranquillity Caroline's classes provide.
Using moodboards for ideas and showing colours that were cheerful and yet calm, we were able to capture the essence of the logo and establish client approval before moving ahead with the design.
The solution
A logo with an icon of the sun and sunrays across water is perfect for a yoga and meditation logo design. The sun symbolising warmth and energy flow, and water representing calmness and inner peace. Together, with the bright and cheerful colour palette, it perfectly aligns with the principles of yoga and meditation.
Application of the new logo design
Business cards and flyers
We always ensure the logos we design are versatile and impactful, ideal for various applications. The newly designed logo featuring the sun and sunrays across water was initially used to design flyers and business cards ensuring a cohesive and recognisable look.
Website design
We designed and built a simple, cost-effective website using Wix, ensuring a user-friendly experience for both the client and her visitors. By using a versatile platform, we created a professional and visually appealing site that met the client's needs without exceeding their budget. The website features intuitive navigation, responsive design, and essential functionalities for booking classes. This approach provided the client with a practical and efficient online presence.
Additional uses of the logo design
As well as completing the logo design and website design, we designed an emblem to help the client promote her one-to-one yoga and meditation course.
