Arcondis annual event at Swiss MedTech Day

Creating and designing an event space focussing on AI technology in the healthcare and life science industries

The challenge

Arcondis, a global consulting firm specialising in healthcare and life sciences, tasked us with designing an event space for this year’s Swiss Medtech Day, where they had silver sponsorship and a larger booth than the previous year. The event's overarching theme, “Mastering Complexity,” required us to create a compelling headline and graphic design that not only aligned with this theme but also highlighted Arcondis' expertise in AI. Positioned near the networking area, the booth had to draw in attendees, ensuring they left with a clear understanding of Arcondis’ industry focus. Additionally, the booth needed to be durable and reusable for future events.

Our approach

We conducted extensive research to develop two headline concepts, complemented by graphic design elements that aligned with Arcondis' branding. Collaborating closely with the client, we carefully planned the floor layout, ensuring the space was well organised for essential elements like a screen, reception desk, table, stools, and cabinet. To bring the idea to life, we presented mockup visuals showcasing the proposed graphic design for the event.

For the stand, we proposed lightweight, reusable furniture that was easy to transport and appropriately sized for the oval-shaped space. We also suggested gamification ideas to enhance engagement, such as a locked box challenge titled “Unlock the Power of AI in Medtech,” though this was not implemented due to budget constraints.

The solution

We designed a bright, clinical, and tech-focussed stand that stood out against the event’s red backdrop. The strong headline and modern graphic design effectively captured the event’s theme.

The double-sided LED wall and reception desk maximised visibility in the busy thoroughfare. It’s durable, easily transportable hardcase, combined with the ability to be reskinned for future events, ensured cost-effective reuse. A prominently placed QR code on the wall and reception desk facilitated data capture and engagement with interested attendees.

Keynote presentation design

To ensure consistency with the stand's theme, we designed a keynote presentation template that carried the "Unlock the Power of AI in MedTech" concept into every slide. The template featured a clean, modern layout with elements of the event’s graphic design, including a matching colour palette. We incorporated subtle, tech-inspired visuals and transitions that emphasised AI and innovation, reinforcing Arcondis' expertise. The design was both visually engaging and functional, allowing speakers to present complex information clearly while maintaining the overall message of the event.
